Zscaler Keeps SecTor Conference Safe for Business

Cloud Security Platform from Zscaler protects Internet traffic at Canada’s Largest Security Conference

San Jose, California, October, 18, 2016

TORONTO, CA (October 18, 2016)  - Zscaler, the leading cloud security platform, has been chosen to protect Canada’s largest security conference SecTor. Now entering its 10th year, SecTor has built a reputation of bringing together experts from around the world to share their latest research and techniques involving underground threats and corporate defences. The conference provides an unmatched opportunity for IT Professionals and Managers to connect with their peers and learn from their mentors.

“We’re pleased Zscaler is helping protect SecTor attendees through their cloud security platform,” said Bruce Cowper, founder of SecTor. “Because Zscaler is a pure cloud based security stack, it was simple to implement it for all the attendees of our 10th annual conference.”

Zscaler is a completely cloud based security platform including Secure Web Gateway (SWG), cloud firewall, cloud sandbox and secure private access. Because no hardware is deployed on site, it is simple to deploy Zscaler to protect even a short event.

“It’s our privilege to protect the SecTor conference,” said Bil Harmer, senior director, office of the CISO at Zscaler. “We are excited to protect attendees from Internet threats so they can focus on learning and engaging with each other.”
