Karl Hoods is the Chief Digital and Information Officer at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) for the UK federal government. BEIS is tasked with leading economy-wide transformation by backing enterprise and long-term growth, generating cheaper, cleaner, homegrown energy and unleashing the UK as a science superpower. Based in London, Hoods spearheads digital, data, and technology initiatives at BEIS to deliver core solutions and digital products that engage the wider public sector and business community. He has over 30 years of experience in various leadership positions across public and private sector enterprises.
