In recognition of International Women’s Day 2019, we are spotlighting some of the women who comprise Zscaler’s international workforce. These women were selected for their passion for their work, their contributions to their teams, and their support of the Zscaler values and vision.

We are pleased to introduce you to two of our honorees, and we are grateful that they are part of the Zscaler family.

Priyanka Kanoongo, Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition, Bangalore

Priyanka loves the diversity and inclusion at Zscaler and has made it her mission to bring exceptional people into the company. She takes pride and enjoys a sense of ownership in her role in building the team that will propel Zscaler into the future. When she’s not working, Priyanka loves to spend time with her four-year-old daughter, and she treasures “mummy and daughter time,” which is reserved just for the two of them. When she was young, Priyanka wanted to be a doctor. She was a sickly child and told her dad that becoming a doctor would help to reduce the family’s medical expenses. The person who’s had the greatest influence on her career was a former boss, who always inspired Priyanka to innovate, look beyond her current job and challenge herself to expand and try new things. His encouragement worked, and Priyanka is now inspiring those around her to excel. We’re so happy that she’s brought her positive and innovative spirit to Zscaler!

Irene Marx, Area Manager, EMEA

Irene was drawn to cybersecurity because of its critical role in industry and society. She enjoys the pace and the ever-changing nature of the field, and she’s appreciated getting to know security teams while seeing how their organizations in different countries operate. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her two daughters and enjoys her garden and her outdoor Italian-themed kitchen where friends gather. Irene’s father was her greatest influence, as he guided her to shift her perspective to turn a problematic situation into a positive challenge. Fun fact: Irene loves to travel and learn about different cultures. She once took a motorcycle trip through the Sahara and stayed at a bedouin camp. It’s important to Irene to encourage girls to study her favorite subject, math, and consider a future in IT. We’re grateful that Irene chose to make her mark in cybersecurity at Zscaler.

Congratulations, Priyanka and Irene!

Each day of the week leading up to International Women’s Day—March 8, 2019—Zscaler will introduce women of Zscaler whose lives, locations, and roles are diverse but who share a commitment to a world where information can be securely accessed no matter where it lives.
