Marco Gioanola

Marco Gioanola has been working in cybersecurity since the late 1990s. With a background in cryptography and certificate authorities, he participated in the start up of one of Italy's first managed security services companies. He later moved to designing and deploying network security and anti-DDoS projects for all major Italian Internet Service Providers. Since 2006 he has then been working in various roles as consulting engineer, solutions architect and network security subject matter expert within international teams, covering large enterprise and telco customers in most European countries, the Middle East, and the APAC region.

He joined Zscaler in 2022, assisting strategic customers in their digital transformation journey.

Marco has overseen the integration of multiple multicultural teams and is passionate about the potential of remote and hybrid work.

In his personal time, he likes travelling with his wife, frequently with the excuse of attending rock concerts or music festivals.
